My husband has stinky sweaty feet and they are getting worse. He needs help. Are there some products or inserts, or different types of socks, that you have found useful?
THANKS!!! |
Please help me with ideas. My husband just took off his socks. Pwew!
I used to use the Dr. Schools inserts with baking soda. I also used to sprinkle baking soda in my shoes. Lastly, I never wore the same pair of shoes twice in a row.
I mean, Dr. Scholls.
soak feet in listerine, the old yellow one
also - a pedicure. part of the stinky is the dead skin...
He also needs to wear cotton socks. Even if he wants to wear nylon dress socks, he should wear cotton socks underneath to soak up the sweat. He should dry out his shoes every night and change socks frequently. Golds Medicated Powder can help too. I am a woman with sweaty feet (no strappy sandals for me!) so I know exactly how he feels!
My FIL sprays Febreeze for pet odors in his shoes. It has nipped the shoe smell in the bud. His doc recommended this, btw.

On Oprah Dr. Oz had someone with this problem soak their feet in strong tea for a while--not sure how many days, etc., but it worked. The tannins in the tea "tanned" the feet like leather gets tanned, I believe was the explanation. here's a link:
