My 2018 Honda Pilot just had a warning light pop up saying “Emissions System Problem”. No obvious problems with the car otherwise.
I have it in for service right now and waiting to hear what the issue is, but with so many Pilot owners around here, anyone have a similar issue? Reading online, it might be under warranty if it’s a big issue, but we only have the basic one. It could be a lot of things, not sure what yet. |

Mine pops off and on sometimes. No idea why.

| Is the gas cap on tightly? |
| I don’t know. I should’ve checked. |

There’ll be a error code stored in memory that the techs will be able to retrieve. If you had an OBD port reader, you could too. Could be a loose gas cap, could be an O2 sensor etc.
If your car is not overheating, not running rough, there’s enough oil in engine, don’t think it’ll be serious. |
| Most likely a O2 sensor. Easy fix. Go to a AutoZone and they will check it for free. |

| Check gas cap. Most common cause is gas cap followed by oxygen sensor. |
| After a minor accident in my pilot, I got the same message OP. Once the body damage was repaired, it went away. I think it’s probably a sensor going bad or something interfering with the sensor. |
| Gas cap was not tightened last time you filled up. |
