| I am 41. My cycles used to be 35 days, now 31 days. Now I am on day 42 with nothing in sight. this has happened about three times this year. What could be going on? Thank you. |
| Could be perimenopause. |
|
Are you sure you’re not pregnant now?
Could be perimenopause. Maybe time for a visit to the OB/gyn? I was able to conceive DC2 at 41 but consider myself very lucky. Now at 43 my cycles are getting shorter and shorter, which I’m told is perimenopause. My SIL said hers have become much longer. I’m jealous. |
How old is yr SIL? |
At 42, my cycles have become 21-24 days. It's annoying because my period lasts 5-6 days and then I seem to ovulate only a few days later. I feel as though I'm always "on alert" for either ovulation or period. |

Same. |
| Perimenopause - for a year, my cycles were very short, now inexplicably they are very long. Currently a week overdue. Very annoying. I'm 44. |
| Sounds like PCOS. Have you had blood work to check? It's either that or peri menopause. |
Same for me (age 42) |
| Perimenopause. Just FYI, OPKs become unreliable for me when I have those long irregular cycles. It makes tracking ovulation for TTC almost impossible. |
Agh! OK. How old are you? |
| OP are you TTC? Or is this just a health issue? |
