Brown/Snowe

No that's not a misspelling; I'm not talking about the ugly mounds in the street. I'm talking about the two Republican votes that will allow debate on Reid's jobs bill. Scott Brown has certainly started out by showing that there is some substance to his talk of independence ("I'm a Scott Brown Republican.") , and Olympia Snowe has returned to her position as a pivotal vote in the Senate. Is this an omen that the end of the super majority will actually lead to some constructive law-making?

Was Nelson taking his revenge for Obama leaving the Nebraska buyout out of his health plan?

More likely he is just trying to get re-elected. His vote was not necessary.
