| Yikes...i can't even find a palisade to even test drive. Family of 6. Been happy with previous pilot and odyssey. Don't really love the pilot look but have been happy in past. Salesman told me they can barely keep palisades on the lot for last 1.5 years. The idea of having the underhand in negotiations is not appealing. Did you all have to pay msrp or over to get palisade? how about the pilots? Thoughts? |

Lifelong Honda fan here, and current owner of a 2018 Odyssey Elite. Honda is really going downhill lately and I don't know what's going on with the brand. We bought our current Odyssey because that vehicle is still competitive in its segment. The same for the wonderful Accord.
Not so for the Pilot. I think the formula needed to change for the Pilot, and there were just too many compromises made in its current form. It's not just that Kia/Hyundai really knocked it out of the park with the Telluride/Palisade, but that the Pilot is just out of step with what the market is demanding - it's not even in the top 10 of similar vehicles as ranked by Car and Driver. What seems more logical to me, is to pay near MSRP for a great vehicle that's already been deemed to be priced well, versus getting a "great deal" on a so-so vehicle. |
