Was just re-reading my prescription and realized that I've only been taking half of the amount of Endometrin that I was supposed to. We saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks, I'm now nearly 9 weeks. Help! Have I done irreparable damage to baby? Can't even believe I made this mistake.
Only noticed because now I'm supposed to lower the dose to what I've already been taking, for the next 2 weeks. |
OP: This was from an FET in mid November.
You are fine. The point of endometrin is to maintain the uterine lining/placental. It's been maintained. It does not effect the baby. Just take what your OB recommends now and you will be fine. Good luck.
the endometrin isnt for the baby, its for the uterus - as insurance to keep it where it needs to be to prevent miscarriage. talk to your nurse, she will reassure you.
This is good news! It means your pregnancy stuck even without the extra boost - your body was making enough progesterone. It’s just an insurance policy. Now it’s time to taper! Call your nurse. I’m guessing they’ll say don’t bother adding more - just stick with where you are and keep tapering off.
OP here. Thanks so much. Was too embarrassed to even tell my husband, thank you for the kind words. Will follow up with my RE tomorrow.
