What a rough start to the school year.
What kinds of grades are you seeing at what type of institution? Ex: State flagship 3.2 GPA / 15 credits Not bad for catching Covid and having distance learning. |
|
state flagship, 16 credits, 3.95
was very impressed by what the school was able to offer via distance and what the student was able to achieve |
| In the low 3.0 range, mostly solid Bs. Not bad considering the circumstances. |
|
2 As, 1 B, 1 C.... 3.0 GPA
8+3+ 2... 3.25. We parents are pleased! Kid wash as solid B student in HS M. 2 As def raises esteem. |
| Competetive instate LAC, 3.42, 16 cr. |
| State school, 15 credits, 3.5. Pretty good, since she was mostly B+ student in HS. |
|
Competitive SLAC. Freshman. 19 credits (he overloaded, but had a good reason). Passed his 3 credit P/F Classes (intro to college life, executive functioning in college for ADHD students, amd music lessons for non-majors). B+in one hardcore STEM. Three classes outstanding. Expecting a B/B+ in one and A/A- in the other two.
ADHD kid adjusting to a tough school during COVID. We’ll take it. |
| Ivy straight A magnet HS kid. 2.9! Took 19 credits with one known super tough class. He said he learned alot so no regrets but is confident without that one next semester he will do much better. It was more than 2x the work of any other class. Also admits he needs to work on procrastination. |
| Wow, that's a challenging # of credits! |
| 16 credits, 3.9. Private university in NY. |
|
Not good ... what’s 3 A’s a B and and F. 😂 apparently one class had 2 places to check for assignments and after missing 2 it was too late.
The other 3.75 because his sport was cancelled... add that to his normal 2.8. |
as for the kid with the F: check the fine print. Sometimes you can retake a class and the F goes away. Every school is different. |
|
Thanks for all the honesty from those with "imperfect children."
My kid's grades aren't posted yet, but we've had some shocking semesters and are hoping this one is better. |
I had some "shocking semesters". I turned out ok. |
| DC’s grades were the same as last semester and the ones before that.... Partly because he came home mid semester and continued at home. He was not in good shape when he arrived. He was drowning in all the Covid regulation isolation at his school. He is now on a very low dose of antidepressants and doing well. |
