OMG - Grey hair...on my 2 year old DD, WTH?!

This morning I was getting ready to do my DD's hair and thought she had a white cat hair in her hair. Nope, she actually has a grey hair! I was amazed, and it's fairly long too. She doesn't have a pigment problem (aside from the fact that she's very pale) or a birthmark on her head but I was surprised that she has a grey hair. DH started to grey in his 20's and I started in my mid 30's. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Yup. It is perfectly normal. My daughter had a grey hair on her head when she was about 3-4 and then a friend of hers pulled it out. It never grew back.

I would mention it to the doctor though. It's probably not a big deal, but good to keep the doc informed.

Well that makes me feel better. I was just Googling it and it was mentioning vitamin deficiency which I don't believe to be the case. She's an excellent eater (veggies, lots of fruit, starches, dairy and meat), so I'm hoping it's just a fluke.

my brother has huge white patches in his head from 11-16 then they just went away.

Dr said it could be from trauma

My dd started turning grey in middle school in some strands. It runs in our family to go grey early. But yes, mention it to the Dr.
