Hi, We're looking for daycare recs for our son (3 months) in Falls Church or McLean. Does anyone have any suggestions? |
In Falls Church: Easter Seals, Columbia Baptist, St Joseph’s, Communkids, Kaye Kare. All good. |
Sorry, for infants, Easter Seals and Kaye Kare. The others start at 18 months I think. |

If you are open to in-home daycares I would check out infant toddler family daycares. Both my children went to one in falls church and we loved the family small setting when they were infants before moving to a center for preschool. |
Thank you!! |
Kaye Kare starts at 2 years old. Many people do an in-home setting for infants / toddlers and then transition to a preschool for daycare when kids are 1.5, 2 or 2.5. All of the Falls Church options listed above are great for that age and most have waitlists, so try to get on some lists several months before you want your kid to start. For infants, you’ll want Easter Seals or a qualified and certified in-home option. |
Hi there I recommend Ms. Katie. she has 15 + years experience caring for babies and toddlers. I used her for my 3 kids and all of them love her and her care is amazing.

I think Kaye Kare starts at two. My friends with a child at Easter Seals LOVE it. |
Columbia Baptist fell apart after covid hit. They canceled their half day program, two directors left, they laid off a bunch of teachers, and almost everyone else quit. No clue what is happening over there, but it’s nothing like it was. |
Thank you all! |
Probably because they were a shitty program to begin with. I was really unimpressed with them when we toured, especially after all the rave reviews they get from North Arlington moms. It was incredibly impersonal and far too religious. |
Second the recommendation for in-home. We really preferred in home for the first couple years (started at a center and moved). Then moved to a center about age 2.5. I’m in Arlington so I’m not sure the one but I’m sure there is a parent listserv in your neighborhood area, that is the best way to get recs and find openings. Most in homes fill spots through word of mouth. I’ve also heard great things about the network that the pp mentioned and will be looking at it for my second.

My kids both attend FAZ in McLean, near the metro station on Old Meadow Road. It's a smaller daycare and teachers, especially the infant teachers, are so loving. |
My son attended Katies Care in Arlington on Arlington- McLean border from 3 months to 2 years and our family loved the experience
