Does anyone use the library app called Libby?
Someone today asked me if it was possible to use two cards from different counties. Does anyone know if this is allowed? I only have a Montgomery County card. TIA if anyone knows and happy reading. |
| Yes I have two counties on my Libby phone app. Works really well. |
| Yes. That’s exactly what it manages well! |
| It works well. I use it for MoCo loans. |

I legit thought this was a thread about the canned pumpkin.
I’m outta here. |
| I like overdrive better. Either way, I have 3 cards for 3 different jurisdictions and it’s fine, works well. |
| I also prefer Overdrive to Libby. |
| I prefer overdrive, too. It also lets me keep two library cards from two different counties on it. |

Libby is the new app for Overdrive. They access the same content. I don’t think the old Overdrive app is still being supported.
Either way, yes, you can have multiple cards linked to the app - both multiple cards from the same system and cards from different systems. To add a card in the same system, click the icon in the top right corner. Choose “see library cards” to see the card for the current library. You can then choose “add another card” to add a card for the same system (say, your kid’s or spouse’s card.) To add a card from a different system, click the icon in the top right corner. Choose “Add a library” and search for the library system. Many of the systems around here have reciprocal agreements, so if you live in DC, you can get a Montgomery or Fairfax County card and vice versa. Check with your library to see where else you can get a card. |
| PP again. One more thing - you can check out books from multiple systems, but you have to search them separately. So if you want Today’s Bestselling Book, you have to search for it in system A and place a hold, and then search again in system B and place another hold. |
+2. |
| OP here. Thank you very much for all the helpful answers. You all are the best. |
| As for me would be better some alternatives to Libby. I recommend this comparison review https://alternativemaster.com/alternatives-to-libby |
