I want to try a "new" flavor, maybe something different. Last year someone made a chocolate nut flavor that was so good...tried anything "non-traditional" you can suggest?

op here-thanks-I think the family last year used nutella in the chocolate ones-and they were soooooo good!

I'm trying to get off white flour...any chance somebody has a good whole wheat flour recipe?

You can mix half and half whole wheat and white and it will probably work fine. King Arthur WW is nice and finely ground.

I'm all in favor of any reason to use more Nutella.

I know this is a little late, but my grandmother always made them with an apple filling. They were amazing, and I never see them in stores!

I didn't grow up making hamentashen and I'm not going to start now, but I love them. Any good recs for local bakeries that you like?
