Middle School Baseball in Montgomery County?

My sons’ middle school in Montgomery County list boys’ softball as an after-school sport. What happened to baseball? Do some parts of the county have boy’s baseball in middle school? When and why did they get rid of baseball?

MCPS only offers softball for MS (7/8]

I don’t know the history, but if a school has a team, it is softball.

Check the Catholic and private schools. Many boys that are interested in middle school sports like baseball and possible football might be moving out of the public schools.

Yes, in MoCo public middle schools only offer softball while privates offer baseball and softball. You could have your child play rec baseball - lots of options.
