ODSL Club Reps and Team Managers:
The ODSL is preparing for a full Spring 2021 season with games beginning on April 10-11. The League will be utilizing the US Youth Soccer Return to Play Guidelines. The ODSL Board has directed that all teams that compete in the season will receive half off their League fees. The online application process for the spring season is now open. The deadline to apply for the season is February 7, 2021. Club Reps will receive an email invoice in March for the teams they register for the season. Checks from clubs for the fees must be received by April 1, 2021. Returning teams must register by logging into their most current ODSL Team Page and using the application link in the welcome menu. New teams can register by using the link on the ODSL Homepage. As an alternative, Club Reps can submit applications for their teams by logging into their ODSL Club Page and following the Team Administration Link. Please check the ODSL Calendar for important Spring Season dates. — Think ODSL will revive after their Fall 2020 closure? |
| a lot of teams disbanded |
| a lot went into NCSL and did well enough. Is there really that much demand for it? |
| The owners lost their gold-egg laying chicken. Sad. |
| better competition in NCSL and the teams realized they fit just fine into a division that worked for them |
|
will ODSL have enough teams to remain solvent this spring?
The last ODSL game was October 2019, you think any teams are sticking around for April 2021?? |
| ODSL should really focus on a rebirth almost and put together a strong Summer league. Not to compete with the heavy hitters in fall and spring. Summer is still a market to make a mark in. |
| They really blew it. They shouldn't have shut down in the fall and are now trying to correct that mistake. But it's probably too late. |
| ODSL is a dinosaur that needed to be put out of its misery. So is CCL. |
I agree they can actually do well in that scenario. Big opportunity can make it almost like a tune up league where clubs can use it to adjust their A,B,& C teams in preparation for fall seasons. |
The big question will NCSL try to keep those it captured? Or will they keep their strict rules about small clubs and toss them back to ODSL? |
This. CCL is garbage. Like the type that smells like shit after your forget dumping it in the trash type. |
What are their rules about small clubs? |
I think you need 5 Teams to be in the NCSL. When ODSL cancelled, the NCSL accepted those teams that wanted to transfer. |
ODSL, NCSL, and CCL are all garbage. The only leagues that are not are ECNL and MLS. How do you get to ECNL/MLS? Through ODSL, NCSL, and CCL. Which means you’re garbage until you’re in ECNL or MLS. People really are this stupid. |
