Silver lightning in all this nonsense. Athletes will not be subjected to child abuse and oxygen deprivation leading to hypoxia. Rumor has it some attorneys informed VHSL the fines they’d incur with lawsuits after kids faint or suffer organ failure due to their draconian and non-scientific decisions.

Good. A mask requirement for players exerting themselves in a sports event is insanely stupid.

The more you tell your kid it's a problem, the more they will complain and make it a problem. I run with a mask and my kids play with a mask. It doesn't change the way the play. It'll actually improve their lung capacity. Get over yourselves!

If I had paid for a league that changed their policy in this way, you'd better believe they'd be refunding me 100% of my money.

Anyone stupid enough to believe that masks cause oxygen deprivation shouldn't be trusted around children. There is zero science to back that up.

My kid with mild asthma has been wearing a mask for practice and play since early fall when club practice resumed. No issues.

First reasonable reason I have seen in 12 months to wear a mask. Unless you have the hospitable quality mask, it ain't doing you any more good than a sugar pill. ... Which I will point out, sometime work!
