Christmas Bonus for in-home provider?

What's a reasonable amount to give to the operator of an in-home daycare as a Christmas Bonus? One week pay? Two?

one week pay

We do one month split among the 3 teachers (owner and two assistants).

One week pay. Ours has had a rough year so we were putting a little more in.

We usually split one week pay between the provider and her assistant, but there's been a revolving door of assistants ever since she reopened. The current one has only been there a month. Wil probably still do the same it's just a bit odd this year.

Oh gosh I don’t normally do this. We normally give $100 to main provider and $50 to assistants. Cant really afford anymore. I didn’t realize how much lower that was than the norm. I feel terrible now.

Don't feel badly. Do what you can afford. I used to do one week but I know many parents who did/could not.

I wouldn’t worry- I think it really varies. We typically give $100 each to the provider and 1-2 assistants, but talking to other families I know some give a smaller amount, or a gift card, or even just homemade treats and a card.

I usually get one week's pay from most families.
