rumor about a shortened spring break

I just heard that MCPS will cut spring break from five to two days and will hold classes the other days to avoid lengthening the school year in June. No info on MCPS website or anyplace else I could think of to confirm. Does anyone know?

Spring break is not five days; it is seven days. The kids are off the Monday/Tuesday after Easter.

I have not heard this rumor, but if they went back that Monday, that would be a-ok by me.

my sister teaches for MCPS and says cutting back spring break is not an option per the terms of their contracts.
