ovulation q

I had an ultrasound on day 11 of my cycle. I asked the tech if she could tell if I was ovulating or about to. She said smthg about how many follicles I had, then said: well they grow 1mm per day so you would be 8 days from ovulation.
That doesn't seem right to me... I have 26 days cycles... she said I might not ovulate this cycle.
Is there any way she could have been off, or that I could ovulate sooner? I am doing opks this month to try and figure this out.

Oh yeah, they don't know how fast YOUR follicles actually grow. Keep watching out for ovulation. Do you know when you usually ovulate? You might want to start temping, so youre more knowledgeable about your cycle.

I have never tracked it formally, but by ewcm and pain usually right around day 14, so mid cycle...

My follicles have grown anywhere from 1mm to 5mm per day on a stimulated cycle. It varies by person, cycle, etc. Agree with PP about tracking your cycles to confirm ovulation. www.fertilityfriend.com is a great resource. You can track temps, CM, OPKs, etc in one place and they will tell you when you most likely ovulated.
