| I would like to get my nephews, 9th and 12th grades, quarter zips or something like that for Christmas. They are both students at New England boarding schools if that matters. I am not sure if Vineyard Vines is "in" anymore? What brands should I look for - and if not quarter zips, what else? Thank you. |
| Try Lululemon, Rag and Bone or Faherty. My teen DS would wear VV but it wouldn’t be his first choice. |
| Ralph Lauren and Columbia both have beautiful quarter zips. My kids wear that for golf outing. |
| LL Bean |
| Patagonia, LLBean, and Lands End. But Lands End is cheaper so may not be considered cool. You could also consider Smart wool. |
| I'm around that age and would say North Face, Nike, Patagonia or Ralph Lauren are probably your best bets |
| Do you mean sweaters or athletic wear? If sweaters, check out JCrew and JCrew Factory. I’ve purchased a number of them there over the years for my sons. |
I agree with these brands. I have a 12th grade boy and these are what he'd choose. |
| I'm amazed that some of your boys have opinions on labels. My teen boys only care if the label is itchy. |
| Get them ones associated with the sports team from your town. Don’t try to figure out what brand is cool. Target has nice ones for the Ravens etc for about $40/each |
OP here and this is exactly my situation, which is why I am asking here. DS doesn’t care but my nephews definitely do! Thanks everyone for the great suggestions! |
Since OP mentioned NE boarding schools, my guess is Target is not on the options list. |
| Haha. Point taken. Still. I wouldn’t try to compete on labels- but sports gear is usually appreciated whatever your price point. |
Beautiful? Golf outings? |
