| Jeff, can you please break up the Tweens/Teens forum into one Tween forum and one Teen forum? |
| I don't think this is necessary. It's more important that people who are posting say what age their child is. |
| why would you do this? It covers the grey area perfectly |
| It goes from elementary to “teen/tween”. Aren’t “tweens” in elementary school? It would make more sense if it was renamed middle/high school. Too many moms think their 7/8 year olds are “tweens”. |
| I thought "tweens" were 11-12. Doesn't make much sense to have a special forum for only 2 years, when so many of the issues overlap with the teen years - and when I post about my 12yo, I often appreciate the BTDT perspective of parents of teens, but they might not ever click on a tween-only forum. |
If a thread is about a 7 or 8 year old, report it and ask that it be moved to the elementary forum. |
| Middle schoolers and high schoolers are so very different - -the answers to parents questions are never the same. And its always obvious when the person answering actually has an upper elementary kid. |
splitting the forum doesn't stop stupid posters from posting - how can you not realize that? |
I agree. Elementary is roughly ages 5-10. 11-12 year olds are tweens. |
| Why not "Middle School Kids" and then "High School and Above Kids"? |
| No. It already barely gets traffic compared to the rest. |
| No way! The sheer concentrated neurosis on display in that forum is HILARIOUS! You can't break that up! |
