I didn't see a thread discussing the devastating WMATA cuts. We would essentially be a city without functioning public transportation. Bad for the economy, bad for people without alternatives, bad for students (since DC doesn't have public transportation), bad for the environment. https://dcist.com/story/20/11/30/dc-metro-proposes-reducing-service-cutting-weekend-trains/

Devastating. Unless federal funding comes through, re-starting operations will lag several months to when people start to go back to work and school post vaccination.

WMATA does cuts the way MCPS does cuts. Identify the most terrible items that cause universal angst and then demand that another governmental entity bail them out. It usually works.
