HCG Levels not doubling but up 92.78 percent

Anonymous
My first HCG at 9 days post transfer was 85 and on 11th day was 251. Today on the 13th days was 486.6.

The nurse said numbers look very good and the last one doubled almost 92.78 percent and I shouldn't be worried about anything.

I have had many miscarriages so I am very nervous.

I know the beta wait and wait for the first ultrasound are such an anxious time, but even a rise of 60% over two days is normal! So you are doing great! Good luck!

I know! It’s agony. I’m almost 9 weeks now myself and I’m still very anxious. My “matra” for this pregnancy has been, I’m not going to worry unless a doctor tells me worry. It’s hard to follow, but it’s helped me a little bit.

What have your numbers looked like with your miscarriages? Did they double or not?

With both of my miscarriages, my numbers early came close to doubling, but didn’t quite (met the 66% rise, but we’re around 75-80%). Personally I knew something wasn’t right because with my successful pregnancies, they did at a minimum double. That said, 92.78% is so very close to doubling and I know for me my doubling times slowed as I approached 1500.

Trust your doctors. They know you and your history. And stop googling and going on betabase

OP here we saw the heartbeat two days ago and it was strong. Thank you to everyone for their advice. I am still paranoid that something will happen.

Congratulations! That’s wonderful news. Here’s to a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Yay!!!!!! Congratulations!!!

I totally understand your ongoing paranoia - that's pretty normal and reasonable under the circumstances. But you've cleared major hurdles already so the odds are increasingly in your favor.

Keep us posted!
