| My mom is asking what I want for the holidays. I also have a December birthday, so gifts could be combined. The only thing I can think of that I want is home exercise equipment. Anything I can ask for in the $100-$200 range? She's not local, so it needs to be shippable, or she could order at a store in the DC area for me to pick up. I already have plenty of workout clothes and a set of resistance bands. I mostly use Les Mills workouts, so something I can use with those (or similar HIIT workouts) would be helpful. I really want a barbell set or some heavier weights, but the ones I've found have been really expensive. I have found some cheaper alternatives, but have no idea whether they're any good. |
| Maybe TRX bands? |
| Do you already have a FitBit or other fitness tracker? |
| Peleton subscription. I think the app is $12.99/mo. |
| A annual subscription to Melissa Wood Health app ($99 per year, was $79 for black friday but unsure if that sale is still going on). Some of the most effective workouts I have ever done! |
| I've been considering giving a weighted jump rope as a gift. |
| ^^ I'm the pp. Sorry, I was having a conversation and typing at the same time. What I meant to type was "smart jump rope". |
|
I’d get a set of dumbbells, even if you can only get one or two sets. Other ideas: new workout shoes or clothing, yoga mat, exercise ball, kettlebell, a step bench.
Or something towards post workout recovery- a foam roller or massage balls. If you hike or run maybe pepper spray, new workout earbuds... |
| I love Les Mills. If you do Body Pump, their barbell is awesome. (I splurged during the pandemic.). I also have the smartband for CX works. You could ask for money toward that and make up the difference yourself. They also sell gift cards online, so maybe she could get one for you. |
| I also splurged on the Les Mills Smart bar. so worth it. |

I was thinking of getting this thing for my son
https://www.gorillabow.com/products/gorilla-bow-travel?lshst=collection I have no idea if it's actually a good thing, but it supposedly can be packed in a suitcase, and yet lets you do the same thing as a barbell set. If anyone knows whether it's good, let me know. |
|
Smart water bottle to track water intake. Not quite $100 but still thought it was worth mentioning.

can't you just use a 20 oz bottle and do the math? |
|

I hope this was helpful. |
Can't you just . . . drink when you feel thirsty? |
