| And, please tell me not to go out for a sandwich at lunch, but to eat the healthy lunch I packed. I have been working for months to get my pre-kid body back and I am soooo close. I've lost four sizes and 35 pounds, but I've lost my motivation. The good news is that I didn't gain any weight over Christmas and I didn't gain any weight while I was couped up at home during the blizzard. |
| Hey, you aren't allowed to decide what to eat based on what your body tells you it wants! Ignore your body! What has it ever done for you? That "healthy lunch" you've packed is going to be perfectly satisfying in every respect, and you must hit a certain number on the scale or be doomed to not having hit that number. Do you want to be one of those women? Do you? NO! Run away from the sandwich. Run awaaaay! |

Give yourself a reward for each pound you lose and it will keep you motivated - a new lipstick, good book, etc. It helps! |

Pep Talk #1: girl, it is too damn cold to go outside. You should stay inside where it's warm and read fun articles on the internet while you eat your sandwich. I recommend celebrity outfit critiques (www.gofugyourself.com) or funny news articles (www.fark.com) or do a search on "mental floss" which is a blog with really funny lists.
Pep Talk #2: I doubt anyone notices your "extra" five pounds. I sure as hell wouldn't notice if one of my friends was 5 lbs over her goal weight. I would notice 20 lbs, or maybe even 10, but 5? Naw.
