No need to smush them together. Nobody smushes Marybeth or Marykatherine together. |
| I have seen them all as a teacher. All are lovely. |
I have seen Marybeth. |

Are you going to uppercase "marie" even if it's one word?
Annmarie if that is what you will call her. Anne Marie is that is the first and middle name? |
Contestant on The Voice. |
+1 Marybeth is a name. |
|
I think the hyphen just overly complicates things. Do you have to include the hyphen on forms?
My sister is Mary Beth, officially on documents it's Mary Elizabeth as her first and middle name, but she has ALWAYS been Mary Beth. I suppose on the first day of school they might write "Mary"? I am not sure. |

Smushing them together hurts my eyes. |

If you use Annemarie, prepare for people reading off her name to pronounce the silent E in the middle.
Nurse in doctor’s office: Ann-eh-mar-ree, you can come on back. |
Totally agree! -Anne Marie |
Ha good point - the e after Anne is optional. I saw a previous PP recommended Annmarie -- I like that very much as well. Having the space, dash or capitalized "M" seems too complicated for a first name for me, especially in this region where it is less common so I'm glad to see not everyone is insisting that "Annmarie" or "Annemarie" are painful to look at. |
If you’re not opposed to dropping the E from Anne, then Annmarie is your best choice. It’s uncomplicated, people will use both names instead of calling her Anne, and it will probably result in the most frequent accuracy when it comes to strangers reading it aloud. Very nice name. |
