We are having a hard time choosing a name for our second son and like both pretty equally. Which name do you prefer?
Fletcher Whitaker (nn Whit, which we would use 90% of the time) |
| Does either have familial significance? Then that one. If not, neither. |
| My mother was a Fletcher so I would use that one. |
| Whitaker |
| Can you wit until you see him? |
| They both sound like last names, is yours a simple one? If so, I like Whitaker because it’s more unusual, at least to me. |
| They're both awful. Whit is less likely to get beaten up than Fletcher, but between Whitaker and Fletcher it's pretty even. |
|
Oh, tough one. These are interesting names. Would you nn Fletcher, Fletch?
I think I like Whit but not Whitaker, so I would lean towards Fletcher. Now I'm curious what kind of people you are, as I know so few people who would feel comfortable with these. But I commend you for being bold and original! |
Stop trying to make Fletch happen. |

| Whitaker |
| Whitaker. There is no good nickname for Fletcher. Will your son have a more common middle name? |
