Anyone hear of any change in hospital rules? # of support persons/must wear mask during labor?

Do you think they will/are they already limiting support persons? Last I heard at WHC it was 2 permitted. I'd also heard that while everyone was asked to be masked at all times, they were not super strict about this while a person was actually pushing in labor.... anyone hear any developments or have a recent experience to share?

Thanks!

I’m delivering at GW and they are still allowing 2 and also said that since we have advanced in measures and understanding of covid (eg they have adequate PPE and rapid covid tests, etc) that it is unlikely they will ever revert back to the extreme restrictions we saw last March/April.

I’m in Los Angeles and delivered seven weeks ago. I could have one person with me (husband), both tested on arrival, and we were both masked except for when I was pushing and the allowed to take the mask off. Plus, my person couldn’t come and go - he had to stay with me the whole time or go and not come back.

With your infection numbers rising, I wouldn’t be surprised if DC hospitals started going the same way we are.
