Heading to a non-Maryland Costco tomorrow to stock up on food plus alcohol. Which one in Virginia or DC is best in terms of selection, typical crowds, layout, parking, etc.
I realize they will all likely be kind of crazy tomorrow, but some are usually better than others--for example, I find the one in Wheaton generally better than Gaithersburg. |
The DC one is nice and the people working there are usually very nice and helpful. Parking lot can get a little backed up. Pentagon City (Arlington) is one of the busiest in the country. The parking lot can get backed up bc you have to take a ticket, get it stamped, scan it to leave. There are a few products at one not the other, but usually good selection at both. |
The woodbridge one |
OP, Woodbridge is a little further than I’d prefer. Between DC, Sterling, Chantilly, and Fairfax? |
VA only has beer and wine, no liquor. Just FYI in case you were hoping to stock up on vodka.
I go to Pentagon City frequently and would not recommend it on a Saturday. I only go on weekdays during non-lunch hours because otherwise the crowds and parking situation are pure misery. |
I like the Chantilly location |
All of those will be a zoo tomorrow. You need to go farther out. |
Pentagon City can be extremely busy. The Mount Vernon location is smaller but you are in and out. As a PP mentioned, keep in mind these stores are in VA and only sell beer and wine. |
Springfield is the least crazy. |
Sterling |
Are you kidding me? Why do people think Costco will be crazy tomorrow?? I was planning on going in the morning. |
No I am not kidding you. I don’t think it will be particularly busy tomorrow besides being a normal Saturday. I like this location because it’s smaller. |
Leesburg. Sterling is insane |
Isn’t it always crazy ok Saturday, and it’s <2 weeks To thanksgiving. |
Chantilly is more manageable than Fairfax FWIW. |
