
Staying True to Your Roots as Peacemakers-- An Interactive Workshop Series on Growing up in a Troubled World.
Special program for Young Friends, ages 4-10, sponsored by Quaker Friends Meeting of Washington's First Day School. Parents are also welcome to participate in this workshop where kids will explore ideas of peacebuilding and how they related to peace and justice in their personal lives and in the larger world. Location: Friends Meeting of Washington, 2111 Florida Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20008 Dates: "Junior Friends" (ages 8-10) Sundays Feb 21, 28 and March 7 and "Quakes" (ages 4-7) Sundays Feb 28 and March 7. Note: We also provide childcare for younger siblings. Time: 10:20 Refreshments and introductions; 10:30-11:30 Workshop; 11:30 - 12:30 All children are welcome to play in our outdoor play area and parents are welcome to join adults for coffee and snacks which typically follow our regular Sunday Meeting for worship.
