I've had a c-section and a vbac. My doula was amazingly helpful with the vbac, helping me find techniques to manage a fast and painful labor. This time around, though, with COVID spiking, it seems unwise to be able to count on having a doula again. I'd love to hear any tips on useful practical resources (books, classes, podcasts, etc) that helped you manage labor pain and that helped your partner support you during labor.
Last time around, I got an epidural around 8 cm and my labor immediately stopped in its tracks. Things didn't start up again until we turned the epidural off. So I'd like to be prepared to go as long as possible without pain medication this time. Thanks! |
