There are a bunch of pro-Trump rallies that are apparently planed for this weekend. However, nobody seems to have bothered to obtain any permits.

About the Proud Boys being stabbed, there is some confusion. The police apparently told the media that the Proud Boys had been stabbed by members of BLM. That may have been informal and not official. BLM denied their members were involved and the media sort of backtracked. I am not sure that the police have made any formal statement. Also, BLM is not exactly a formal membership organization so I am not sure what "BLM member" actually means.

If they have permits and don't destroy life or property, they are legally allowed to protest. And even if they don't have permits and start something, you know from past protests this year that most perpetrators are not apprehended because the police can't be everywhere in the heat of the moment.

My concern is unlike a left-wing march in DC, these will be right-wing people in a left-wing city. If that's not a recipe for disaster, I don't know what is. Please stay indoors.

I don't care if they get arrested, but I want as much tear gas, low flying helicopters, and general unpleasantness as the police thought was appropriate for BLM

What is the sudden concern with permits? Is anyone worried that the counter-protestors have permits?

well, if the MAGa folks had signs that said "they are coming for Blacks and Indians" and "death to all Indians", then I think you have a false equivalency problem
