Hi,

I'm looking for a house in Potomac (Potomac elementary school zone).
If you had a good experience with your realtor (as a buyer's agent), could you please send me his/her contact info?
I'm looking for someone who is very knowledgeable in Potomac area, responsive and pro-active about client's needs.

Thank you in advance.

Corey Burr. Low key, but really knows his stuff. Honest. Just a really great guy. He is a family friend, but friends have used him and been extremely happy.

Sherry Turner, Coldwell Banker. [ www.sherryturnerhomes.com ] Also certified thru USAA Movers Advantage Program. She handled our last 2 purchases and 2 sales. Again, low key but absolutely knows the game. Fantastic!!!

Thank you for your response.
May I ask if your properties were/are in Potomac area?

Thanks again.

Our properties, no. But we are on her mailing list for updates. Many of them are in Potomac, she knows the area very well and is very well connected both internally to CB and externally to others for that area. Her web site is pretty much CB boilerplate. Give her a call, see if you like her and see if she is what your looking for.

We used Mary Balow at W.C. & A.N. Miller - now Long and Foster (http://www.marybalow.com/) as our buyer agent. This was a few years ago in the height of the market but she was spot on about what the prices of houses would go for (as in this house has X offers and will probably not be had for less than Y, and maybe another house being slightly overpriced) and she knows the area well. We looked at homes in Potomac, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Kensington and Rockville. We ended up buying in Bethesda. What I like is even once I purchased the house, she didn't drop all contact. I think I contacted her for the name of a plumber she could recommend - trust me when you move into a new house and don't know anyone in the area, the 1st housing issue will be something with the plumbing - a toilet or drain issue. She was great getting back to me and I remember being so relieved during what was a stressful time of needing a plumbing repair.

Anyway, hope that helps.

These two seem to have the most signs in Potomac:

Marc Fleisher

When we were looking to buy, we dealt with Marc Fleischer. He represented the sellers for several houses we tried to buy, and he seemed top notch and really understood the market in Potomac. We considered switching to him but were too lazy to try to get out of the contract with our agent. She was with Coldwell Banker and was not nearly as aggressive as we needed (lost 6 houses because she was more interested in her relationship with other realtors than in trying to help us actually buy a house). The only reason we ended up purchasing a home before our contract ran out was because I got tips on contract clauses from coworkers!
