Any recs for canine GI specialist in Northern Virginia?

Does anyone have recommendations for a specialist? This is for a retriever and we live in Alexandria. Thank you!

Regional VRC on backlick in Springfield (next to outback/Felix and Oscar). They are fantastic.

Internal Medicine is the specialty you want for veterinary GI issues and South Paws has board-certified internists. I don't have direct experience with that department, but I would trust South Paws.

Not in NoVa, but I do love the internist at Friendship, Dr. Erick Spencer. However, Friendship is becoming even more insanely busy and it's become hard to get an appointment. I think with the Regional Veterinary Referral Center and South Paws, you have good options out there.

Please keep us posted!

+1 to South Paws. I drive there for all our specialty needs, the most recent issue being GI problems.

(I choose South Paws despite the fact that I live walking distance to Friendship, which ought to have as its logo that Mr. Millionaire guy with the top hat from Monopoly. But I digress).

South Paws has excellent diagnostic capabilities —> specialists, in-house big lab and imaging equipment.

Good luck OP!
