I just signed up 7-mon DS for a Baby and Me swim class that starts in a few weeks. I just realized this means that I need to stuff myself into a bathing suit then! Does anyone have any suggestions for where to shop? I'm hoping to look a lot better by the time real bathing suit season hits, so I don't want to spend much money on this. I also am not excited about going to the store to shop, so any online suggestions would be helpful. This is stressing me out - I do not want to be in a bathing suit right now!! I'm almost tempted to postpone the class, but that would be lame.
If you're just going to a swim class, just look on Land's End. They have a lot of one-pieces with things to help you suck it in. I didn't bother spending real money on a bathing suit until I got back to my pre-preg babyweight (around 9 months).
A friend just bought a bathing suit on Land's End and was so pleased with it. Unfortunately, they're expensive (like around $100), but she said it's so good with smoothing out the lumps and bumps and not creating extra fat (like back fat) that she's very happy.
I third Lands End. I'm 32 and a size 6, but my stomach is not what it was before having my two kids. I got a great tankini there. They have pretty much any style you want, from not so much coverage to skirts that almost make it to your knees.
