How does Brooke Pinto keep winning?

I’m following the results on WaPo and Pinto is wayyyyy ahead of Downs. It didn’t seem like she had the grassroots support and instead was faced with a lot of pushback, yet she’s slated to win big. Are there silent Pinto voters the way there are silent Trump voters? I genuinely haven’t heard much support for her candidacy.

Because the Greater Greater Washingtons of the world are *far* less influential than they and their echo-chamber supporters would lead you to believe. They endorsed Pinto's challenger, who got routed. They endorsed Lazere and he massively underperformed compared with what he raised and spent on the campaign.

But hey, their cowardly co-endorsement of the anti-Semite in Ward 8 hit the mark!
