Finger Crossing in 3.5 y/o Boy

Anonymous
I just noticed my son crossing his fingers tonight. No other signs of autism, so I’m not sure if I need to dismiss this or schedule an appointment. Any thoughts or experience with this ?

Am I missing something, is there a problem with crossing fingers?

As with causes of autism, try to lay off the google. If you have overall concerns about your kid, get him/her assessed.

I actually just noticed my 3 year old doing this this morning. But i think it's because she is working on her grasp at school and just realized she could move her fingers like that. Same way she touched her toes a half dozen times when she realized she could do it standing up. Kids are learning about their bodies and how they work. I wouldn't give it much thought but if it continues mention it to your ped
