One year old birthday gifts?

My dad is asking for suggestions on what to get our baby for his upcoming first birthday. Anyone have recommendations for what a one year old might love?

Little Tikes taking care of animals farm. My toddler is almost 3 and has played with this every single day since she received it at age 1.

My go-to one year old gift is a shopping cart, toy stroller or one of the green toys big dump trucks. Toddlers all go through a hoarder stage where they love to put random crap into something that is “theirs” and then schlep it from room to room.

This. My kid got an umbrella stroller when she was one and I am so thankful to that cousin. Lol.. she is 5 now and still fills it up with toys, or dolls or her wood veggies and it’s an new game every time.

One is young for Mahnatiles but my policy is to give toys that they’ll grow into rather than one that’s correct for right now that they might grow out of soon.

Duplos. I found that Megablocks broke and got loose over time. Duplos are still going strong three years later.

Riding toy *that doesn’t make noise*. I can’t explain how important it is to reduce opportunities for obnoxious noise. After the first annoying toy, I made a blanket policy that all singing toys remain at the giver’s house. I enforced it, and now everyone knows better. You may have more patience than I do.
