Recently I notice that my 15 yr. old M tuxedo cat has some white, dried round scabs on the outside of his ears.
They look like white dots/bumps. They do not appear to bother him at all. His overall eating + sleeping are normal. His behavior is the same. Should I take him in to get them checked by a vet?? I Googled Images of ear mites, cancer, ringworm & flea bites but nothing online either looks or sounds like what he has. Please any suggestions welcomed. |

| No first-hand experience, but a visit to the vet certainly would help ease your mind and address any issues that could be there. It sounds like maybe it’s some type of growth or the aftermath of scratching itchy ears. Sometimes cats and dogs when they’re older develop growths and some weird skin stuff, the same way as people do. |

^^Thanks for the response PP.
Due to being laid off in March, my ca$h reserve is kinda low. If vital, I would definitely take my cat to a vet. Which I may do anyway. Just wanted to know if anyone on here had anything similar w/their own cat. I have a photo but do not know how to upload it on here. 😏 |
NP 1. Save the photo with a name you will recognize and a place you can find, like on the "desktop" 2. Imgur will "host" the picture for you without setting up an account - Go to https://imgur.com/ - Click the green "New Post" button at upper left - Select "Choose Photo/Video" from gray box on right - When the popup loads with your files, doubleclick on the name of the photo you want - Wait for the green button "Upload Complete!" to appear above your picture - Hover the cursor over the upper right of your picture, and two buttons will appear: "Copy Link" and "..." - Click on "..." then select the second option, "Get Share links" - Pick the third option, "BBCode (Forums)" and click the green button to the right of it (all 4 options have green buttons) - Paste into a post here |

Could be "walking dandruff" which is actually a type of mite or other parasite. I had a dog with that once and it looked like bits of dried skin resting on top of his skin, under his fur.

I do not have a desk or laptop computer. I use an iPhone 10 on this website. Can I post a pic using my iPhone? |
Yes. Did you need step-by-step instructions for that? The change is that you would save the photos wherever you usually save photos, and then you upload from that. You can do it from a web browser on your phone, or you can download an app. Both work. Is this still confusing? Maybe it would make sense for you to try it, and then post if you get stuck? |

^^Thank you PP very much for taking the time to respond to my post!
I appreciate it very much‼️😄 Actually thank goodness but the white dots on my kitty kat’s ears are slowly going away. What a nice relief! |
