Do you think MCPS schools will open on time on Tuesday?

I know with the pressure of upcoming testing, they want kids in school asap, so I'm guessing they will try to open on time. I live in Silver Spring on a dead-end street. There is no way a school bus could make it up my street today. So many of the side walks don't look great either. Where are the kids supposed to wait for their buses? I drove past an elementary school yesterday that had yet to be plowed. What are the roads, sidewalks, elementary schools like in your Montgomery County neighborhood?

My daughter is still in K so we walk her to/from the bus stop, but would it be worth looking up the bus route online and trying to find the safest alternative stop?

In our neighborhood, they were plowing intensively yesterday. My theory is so that school busses can come and kids can wait at stops.

with the snow expected tomorrow, i'd be surprised if the schools are able to open on time. usually with the few inches they are expecting, schools would fully close. at the very least i'm guessing two hour delay.

I'm guessing two-hour delay, too. My daughter is in middle school, and the bus stop is only 3 blocks away. I checked the route yesterday and noted very few sidewalks are shoveled and that the area the kids usually stand has three feet of plowed snow on it. I have suggested she and the others at the stop wait at a nearby plowed driveway apron and definitely not in the street. I'd like to walk up there with her, but she'd probably want to murder me.
