What has been your experience with Bethesda Country Day School during COVID? |
We just started in June so we only have experience from COVID. It's been really good so far. In pictures they send us, most of the kids are wearing their masks. My daughter seems happy, but I really can't say much because we dont get to go inside. They have had ONE covid case and it was a few days ago. we were notified IMMEDIATELY and that classroom is in quarantine. Ms Mila contacted the health department the next morning, and even sent an update when she was waiting for a call back. they are doing a great job at following protocol. |
They just had five cases in a row and needed to close the entire school for two weeks. |
When they started telling me about their academic program for 2 and 3 year olds, I left mid-tour. Of course, that child is now 18, so things may have changed. I believe young children learn through play, not academic programming. |
Similar but I was looking for 4-5 class and it was about 5 years ago. 5 year olds were working on a packet of worksheets and when I asked about it the director said it was to prepare them for kindergarten in Mcps. I’d been teaching k in Mcps for 10+ years at the time. My educational philosophy and theirs was just too different. |
Yeah I wrote that before the other cases popped up. One was in our classroom and no one else had a positive test. |
Are there any updates on positive cases? |
What do you want to know? No one in our class got a positive even though the teacher was positive. |
