Are there any Rosemount parents on here? We’ve been offered a virtual pre-K slot and I’m curious if anyone is doing this currently and if so, if you are finding value in it. |
+1 I also received the same email. Am wondering about the cost and value if virtual zoom sessions for pre k as well. |
I’m the OP. I expect they are trying to enroll to get their funds from DC for participating in the preK program. But the expectations aren’t really clear. Like, is daily attendance mandatory? |
I’m the pp. the email said 20-30 minute zoom sessions 3 times a week. I sure it’s not mandatory, but if you don’t plan to attend at least a couple times a week, then it may not be worth the cost. Do you know the cost per month? |
My son is currently in the virtual preK program waiting for an in-person spot. I do think attendance is mandatory because the funding comes from OSSE. Rosemount has the preK subsidy so if you get in, you don't pay anything. |
PP^^ here. I don't know if it is worth it. They try but we are talking about 3-4 year olds. I'm doing it because I want an in-person spot which I am hoping will open up in January. |
Did anyone get an in person spot for pre-K? How is it going? |
I'm 12/01/2020 14:43. Yes, my son started on 2/1. So far so good. No COVID issues and my son seems to be getting along fine. He tells me he still misses his old school which did not reopen. The teachers send pictures and videos every day and my son seems to be in the middle of every activity featured. I'm in the neighborhood and most of these kids will also be in Kindergarten with him. |
Thank you so much for posting. Accepting a spot and just wanted to hear some recent experience. |
Has anyone heard anything about waitlist movement for the 2021-2022 year? |
