| My goddaughter was recently admitted to her first choice college and has committed to go there. I’d love to send her something fun to add to her excitement. She’s got the usual college tshirt/sweatshirt and her friends are showering her with themed/spirited cupcakes and candy. Her mom just got her a bed pillow with the college pennant on it. I’d love any ideas for something fun for her which celebrates this great accomplishment. |
| Send a card, then ask what she needs when she starts college. |
If she is a coffee/tea drinker and the school is on here a customized mug might be a fun and useful gift: https://www.yeti.com/en_US/yeti-college.html These are very pricey for a mug at around $50 but yeti makes great products... |

When my daughter got into college, her older cousin had a pillow made on Etsy. It was designed from a photo of my daughter's cat. My DC loved it, a little taste of home to take with her when she went away.
Sorry, but I don't know the exact vendor. |
| A gift certificate from Insomnia Cookies to use when she arrives |
| Send her a lap desk. I got one when I went to college and am 44 and still use one. |
| remember that you want to send something and the send her a food care package once the weather turns her freshman fall. She's getting showered with gifts now, something later would probably be more meaningful |

I'd send a gift card to Target or BB&B for decorating her dorm room in the Fall.
Alternatively, you could send a blanket with the logo on it. My teen loves fuzzy things. |
| Laptop stickers! |
This is a really good suggestion. |
| It is a weird time to be a college student. Even next fall college will not be what is used to be. She may unfortuntely be at home distance learning. My kid was only allowed to bring what she could carry into the dorms with 1 trip....no decorations no extras. I would do a gift card or cash. |
Wow. What a downer. |
| I'd get her an item of spirit wear from her new school (sweatshirt, hat, jacket) |
Sorry but it is reality. It is a very muted experience this year and I think next year will not be much different. When DD missed the end of senior year we just looked forward to college in the fall but it only continues to feel like she is missing out. |
| Sorry - just saw that she already has the spirit wear. |
