I try to keep my kid reading daily at home but it is hard to find books that interest him and we are running out. He is not serious, very silly and likes goofy humor. During covid he read all of the my weird school series books and he also reads a couple spy kid series.
Now he is asking for soccer books. Any suggestions for this age? Thanks. |

There is a series of books called The Wild Soccer Bunch. My son read a couple of them and enjoyed them. |

I found one at our library earlier this year and he wouldn't even read because of all of the girls on the cover.

I ordered the first one to try. |

Matt Christopher has a lot of soccer and other sports books. My boys read them all. He has a series called Soccer Cats that is a really easy chapter book intro and then lots of individual soccer/baseball/football books that are slightly more advanced. Like the first set might be 7-10 and the rest are 8-12. They are all engaging and fun. Another writer that has books about every sport is Mike Lupica. And there are also countless non-fiction books by World Soccer Legends and biographies by DK.
Also second The Kicks and Wild Soccer Bunch. |
| The Keeper: The Unguarded Story of Tim Howard Young Readers' Edition. It is a great book even if your child isn't a keeper. |
| Thanks all! Im going to check all of these! |
| Not OP but thanks, these are great suggestions. |
You need to get your son into sensitivity training immediately. This type of mental illness so young is a real problem. Boys must learn to accept powerful women. |
He likes male leads that he can relate to. Thanks but no thanks for your unwarranted advice. |
