about to have surgery, parents cant come home and DH cant cook. anyone out there has experience with frozen prepared meals? is sort of an budget a crazy idea? I heard in the past that chefs could charge more than 200$ to come and cook in your kitchen. gourmet food would be great, but just looking for some basic, healthy meals to last us for about a month.

| I like Dinner Done - they assemble meals for you, will deliver for a nominal charge (they're based in Herndon), and you just pop the meals in your oven. They'll also make adjustments, if needed (for example, no cilantro or cut the salt). Robert, the owner, is terrific. I've also tried Let's Dish but think Dinner Done has much better food. |
| Second Dinner Done - I discovered them when pregnant with my first. I think they also have a deal that they'll waive the extra fee for surgery/childbirth etc. |
