Any predictions about lines in DC for voting?

Trying to decide if going first thing in the morning (when it opens for the first time) will just result in a long wait time. Maybe the lines will be shorter later in the week ?

Lines will probably be shorter than usual any time you go for early voting -- 124,000 people have already voted, either by mail or by drop box, which is 40 percent of total turnout in the 2016 election. People can still continue to vote that way, too, so I imagine the in-person polling locations will be relatively uncrowded.

I wouldn't go the first day. Those lines have been long in other states. I'd go on a later day in the early voting period mid-afternoon.

If you live in DC, I would suspect lines not to be too bad since many people are voting by mail. I did. Just stop by, if line is bad, come back later. I have never waited more than 15-20 minutes to vote in DC, in person on the day of elections. Unlike most states that manipulate their process by trying to suppress voters, DC does not. So it is easy to vote.

everyone got a mail in ballot this year. you can't compare DC to other states. It is night and day. Many things do not work right in the city like trash collection etc. but they know how to run an election.

I saw lines before 8 this morning at our local voting place in DC.

Mann had one or two people just as they were opening this morning and a longer line across the playground right before 9:00am. Didn't look too bad.

PP, should have said this is in Ward 4. Not a long line, but maybe 10-20 people 1/2 hour before opening, with more walking up.

I early-voted in Ward 4 and it took two minutes, mostly because I wrote-in a couple people. It was nice to see a lot of young people working at the polls.

long lines at Nats park but honestly some are just fans to be back AND vote. I am going a drop box bc dc isnt trying to fix the election.

No, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that Montgomery County has online estimated wait times for the polling centers. Does DC have something similar?<

Yes, but they do not update them at all, apparently: https://earlyvoting.dcboe.org/. My closest polling place said 90 minute wait, but updated several hours ago. I went and there was no wait.
