pediatrician in capitol hill?

Can anyone recommend a good pediatrician in the capitol hill area? Also, any tips from the more experienced moms on what I should be looking for when choosing a pediatrician?

I'd search the forums for "pediatrician" - I know there have been several lists posted with recommendations from other forum members. The bad news is that there seem to be none on the Hill, and few in the District. Just got the new Washingtonian mag - the "Best Doctors" issue, and there were NO pediatricians listed AT ALL for DC. Ugh. I'll be looking for one soon myself, and would DREAM of one on the Hill! Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Dr. Wirt and Dr. Barnes-Marshall (same office) are the only 2 that I know of. We see them. I've had no problems thus far. Keep in mind that with this office there are no separate sick and well child areas. It's just one waiting room. If the office was not so darn convenient (we walk there), I would probably switch because of that reason. I confess that the pediatricians office we used in another city before moving here had separate waiting areas and it was much more comforting to know the sick germs were somewhat contained. The office is located at 650 Pennsylvania Ave Se.
