I go through crazy closet cleaning modes and have donated more nice bags than I care to admit. I deeply regret parting with some (especially a pink nubuck Miu Miu shoulder bag). Others, I don’t regret (multiple Gucci’s and Prada bags).

My nicest bag is a vintage coach bag I bought from Goodwill for $30. My second nicest bag is a canvas tote bag from Madewell. My third nicest bag is a canvas tote with my college logo on it. My fourth nicest bags are my reusable grocery bags - I splurged on a matching set of plain ones from Amazon.

There is one specific brand/bag I buy when I see it at a great price. By now it is not made any more and is vintage but I love the shape/it is distinctive and does not go out of style. I now have 12. I guess I'd buy another bag if I liked it the same but I haven't found another where everything is perfect- the materials, shape, straps, inside compartments, details on the lock and chains, etc.

I know what I like but don't otherwise 'recognize' bags so it's otherwise lost on me.

Please call me the next time that you’re donating. lol. I regret getting rid of my Gucci bag; I bought it when I was about 20 and I worked hard for that money (making $3.35 an hour). Go figure that I still have the wallet and the makeup bag; I’m 55 now. lol

And embarrassingly large number. 11 Chanels of many shapes and sizes, 2 Gucci cross bodies, a Polene, a Lady Dior. Along with 4 Longchamp totes, a Coach crossbody, etc etc. I also have a Kelly but I’m going to sell it soon. It just doesn’t suit me.
