Jamestown Elementary School

Does anyone know why there is so much talk about parents at Jamestown being unhappy with the "new" principal (she seems to have been there for about 4 years I gather)?

Long memories and an ability to hold a grudge? Sorry, that may be a latecomer's reaction to a legitimate complaint, but we chose another school in the team, so I don't know the full story. I do know some families that are very happy there.

The oddest complaint I heard was from a parent who was unhappy that the new principal doesn't allow people to bring their dogs to school. I love dogs, but honestly, who cares? The random comments I've heard suggest that the previous principal had a groovier, more laid back vibe (excuse retro language, but the complaints of heard have come from retro parents) than the current one. I suspect that people who chose Jamestown because of the previous principal might not mesh as well with this one, but I assume as families move on, everyone will adjust.

And I think it's been a little more than four years -- maybe six?
