shoe trees for boots?

Anonymous
This season I bought several nice pairs of tall boots. Is there some sort of shoe tree that I can store in them to keep the leather in shape all the way up the shaft?

Yes - they sell them at the Container Store, among other places. Or, you can just use rolled-up old magazines.

I put shoe trees in the bottom for the toe box and then boot trees (tall) in the calf area. A must so the leather doesn't collapse onto itself.

I thought you were supposed to store them on their sides rather than upright?

Store on their sides if you don't have trees. Upright if you do.

Another cheap solution is to tape together 2-3 paper towel rolls.
