Thinking about previous partners

For those of you who are married (and having sex, because apparently that is not implied by the "married" status on DCUM), do you ever think about past partners? Either during or just in general?

Of course. I also think from time to time about past meals I've eaten, trips I've taken, and bouts of stomach poisoning.

Is the question do I miss the sex I had with past partners? Sometimes! Like the Caribbean, though, I've got good memories but it doesn't break my heart that I will not go there again.

This OP: to clarify, do you ever think about the past partner during sex, or in a "if no one would ever find out" way.

All the time. One prior partner in particular but could be any number of them. Or people currently in my life who I find attractive. Doesn't everyone fantasize??

There's someone I think of often. I am not proud of it, but I had an affair almost 10 years ago with a much younger guy. We mutually ended it and I decided to work on my marriage and sex life. I'm thankful that I did because my husband and I are happier than ever. But I am guilty of thinking about the sex I had with the AP now and then. My husband was my first and only before my AP so I didn't know what I was missing. I just figured 5 minutes and done was how it was for everyone. Damn, did AP prove me wrong. I was in exhausted ecstasy every time. My marriage is way more important than great sex, but I can't help but think of him sometimes.

Sure I do. I can think about any number of people or images while having sex. I'd rather be in the moment with her but sometimes, the mind does wander. I'm sure she does too.

Yep. There are a couple of exes and a couple of female acquaintences who end up filling that role on occasion. Usually I'm just thinking of my wife, but we all get bored sometimes don't we?

There were only a few and I don’t think about them sexually because I wasn’t in love with any of them so the sex was never great. Even though my husband and I have had sex a few thousand times it’s still better than anything I had before. I have fantasized about a few famous people but I think that’s pretty normal especially when your face is in the pillow.
