Eight to nine hour work day, overtime beyond nine hours a day and forty hours a week. Nanny has a separate apartment in our converted garage with her own kitchen and washer/dryer. We pay her health insurance, two weeks paid vacation the first year and five PTO days. She started at minimum wage ($15 in our state) but got a sizable increase after her first year and a bonus.
Our child was a newborn when she started with us so I have no clue what a nanny for a six year old would look like. I’m guessing the nanny will be doing DL? In that case, there is no way you’ll get away with minimum wage.
